A co-worker of mine shared with me a special gift she will be giving her daughter for her high school graduation this year. I think it's an amazing idea and hope I remember to do something like this for my girls. She purchased the Dr. Seuss book Oh The Places You Will Go when her daughter was in Kindergarten. Every year she asked her daughter's teachers to write a short note to her inside the cover of the book (similar to a yearbook). Her daughter has no idea that her mom has been doing this all these years. I can't wait to her what her reaction will be when she receives this gift.

Oh my gosh, what an AWESOME idea! I'm going to get a copy soon so I can include her jr. kindergarten teachers she has now. Now if I can just remember every year for the next 13 years... :) Thanks for the idea!!
this is a WONDERFUL idea! Wanna remind me in 6 years when Blaise starts school?? :) What an amazing gift!
PS: thanks for the idea to update my blog background...so much fun!
Kelly, This is fantastic!!! So, I did it. My mom luckily had held onto a copy of the book I was given when I graduated from high school. Then, I went out and bought a second copy for Leah. Today was their last day of school, so I had given the books to their teachers. They loved the idea and were so excited to write a message for them. I picked up the books after their concert today. I look forward to giving it to them someday and hope they look back at their educational journey as a great experience, full of ups and downs and adventure. That book has a great message. Miss Jane read it to Carter's entire class. Then he wanted to hear it again when we got home. Thanks so much for this idea Kel!!!
